Deportation of a Chadian Rights Defender from Egypt Sparks Anger

Refugees Platform in Egypt documented the demands of those gathered outside the UNHCR office, including “providing appropriate protection, reviewing their long-pending files, providing the necessary care for their lives, providing medicine and regular medical and health follow-up, responding to their complaints about dealings with UNHCR and its partners in Egypt, and supporting them in the search for reintegration opportunities.” The platform also documented earlier complaints submitted by the group that had been ignored.
