From Sudan to Egypt: Fleeing into the Unknown

Older agreements initially grant Sudanese people a six-month residence permit in Egypt. To be able to work legally, a separate permit is required. Nour Khalil of Refugees Platform in Egypt says: “Many Sudanese have less money and no passports, and they will try to flee.”
